Jeffrey C. Hicks
Jeffrey C. Hicks is a founding member of Hicks & Mullett, PLLC. His practice is concentrated in real property law including: commercial and residential real estate and lending; zoning; development; boundary disputes; easements; homeowner/condo associations; and, land use. His practice also includes business and business asset sales and acquisitions, and general business law. His clients include financial institutions ranging in size from community banks to one of the largest money managers in the Midwest, homeowner and condominium associations, developers, franchisees, homeowners, marketing and social media firms, non-profits, professional corporations and individuals.
Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Hicks clerked for the Honorable Philip D. Schaefer of the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court for the County of Kalamazoo. Mr. Hicks also spent four years with the Michigan Court of Appeals in the First, Second and Fourth Districts. During that time he completed an internship with Michigan Court of Appeals Judge, Henry William Saad. Prior to forming the firm, Mr. Hicks practiced with a Lansing law firm specializing in real property, land use, wetlands, and water law.
Mr. Hicks is a graduate of Wayne State University Law School and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science-Prelaw from Michigan State University. He was the previous Chairman of the Delta Township Zoning Board of Appeals, and the Delta Township Sign Board of Appeals for over six years. He is the current Chairman of the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce Delta Government Relations Committee.

Mr. Hicks is also a licensed Michigan real estate broker. He is a frequent speaker and contributor on real estate issues. He has been a presenter before the Michigan Association for Justice's (formerly Michigan Trial Lawyers Association) People's Law School at Thomas M. Cooley Law School (course materials), Ingham County Bar Association (article and handout), the Landlord's Of Mid-Michigan, Lansing Community College, Lorman Education Seminars, and has written for Michigan Lawyers Weekly (article). Mr. Hicks is admitted to practice in all Michigan State and Federal Courts, and the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
